The project’s broad programme of actions is structured in five blocks: research, conservation, monitoring and surveillance, governance and capacity building, as well as communication, environmental awareness and environmental education.

In addition to its own actions, it draws on the results and synergies of other initiatives financed through various funds, such as the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF), the European Social Fund (ESF), the Biodiversity Foundation’s own funds, funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR)-Next Generation EU, as well as complementary sources of funding included in the Prioritized Action Framework (PAF).
